Historia
Laura Moore was the ultimate modern-day corporate drone, until she woke up as the beautiful but brainless drama queen of a period novel—a supporting character whose only talent was making terrible choices. In the original story, after her 20-year-old fiancé is stolen by a 42-year-old woman, she spitefully marries his older brother, the ex-military Derek Price. She spends their marriage despising Derek and sneaking around with her ex, until they finally divorce. Years later, she meets a tragic end—disfigured, homeless, and frozen to death under a bridge. Meanwhile, Derek becomes a business magnate with a nationwide empire. Determined to rewrite her destiny, the new Laura Moore changes her ways. She treats Derek and her mother-in-law with genuine kindness, and in return, discovers an unexpected warmth she never knew existed.
