Story
Miss Davenport, a well-bred young lady, is under pressure from her grandfather to settle down. To appease him and avoid an arranged marriage, she agrees to a three-month courtship with the eldest son of the Vane family. But when she arrives at the Vane estate, she finds herself unintentionally getting under the skin of the young mistress of the house—who, coincidentally, is the cousin of the Vane heir. To her surprise, the Vane heir catches a familiar scent on her, one that takes him back to a girl from his childhood. Now, intrigued by this mysterious connection, will the reluctant bachelor still resist the marriage proposal?
