Story

Lydia, originally an adopted daughter of the Hawke family, was childhood sweethearts with Alaric Hawke. The two unfortunately fell into the hands of human traffickers, and Alaric Hawke diverted the traffickers' attention to protect Lydia, leading to their separation. Eighteen years later, Alaric Hawke had become the president of the billion-dollar Hawke Group and had been searching for his childhood friend Lydia all those years. Meanwhile, Lydia, having lost her voice due to a high fever, was adopted and renamed Isla Hayes. To find Alaric Hawke, she went to Jinghai and became a massage therapist. By chance, Isla Hayes ended up giving Alaric Hawke a massage but was noticed by Ada Holt who had feelings for Alaric Hawke. Ada Holt began targeting Isla Hayes and accidentally discovered her jade pendant learning her true identity as Lydia. She then impersonated Lydia first obstructing Isla Hayes reunion with Alaric Hawke resulting in him repeatedly missing out on knowing the truth about his long-lost friend's whereabouts until it was too late when he learned everything leaving him filled with deep regret begging for forgiveness from Isla.
