Story
Karol Sowle was born into a rural family. At 18, she married Joseph Lee, a young intellectual, and followed him to the city. However, Joseph's family scorned her humble origins and subjected her to constant mistreatment. Unable to endure it any longer, Karol left and met Theo Lipsey, a disabled veteran. With Theo's support, Karol pursued education, honed her sewing skills, and eventually founded her own clothing factory. Meanwhile, under her devoted care, Theo's legs gradually healed.
