Story
Kit Vane is a genius engineer who pulls a malfunctioning robot PWL-000 from the discard pile on instinct, more curiosity than compassion. The robot is technically flawed, classified as a reject, and by every rational measure not worth saving. Kit saves him anyway. What begins as clinical interest quietly becomes something neither of them has a category for. The robot's devotion starts as programmed loyalty and evolves into something that looks unmistakably like longing.
